Just A Day Old

So for the first time I am away from my home and family on my birthday... you can only guess how it feels... I couldn't make it to Denver this Sunday to celebrate my sister's birthday as well... that doesn't feel good either... but then I would like to thank everyone who wished me on my birthday be it on Facebook wall or in person... that felt good! Come this May and I am done with this semester... I'll head straight to the Mile High City... Why? Come on you can't keep two birthday celebration overdue for too long! Can you?

Happy Birthday Di! I luff you, always have.

Post script: "Happy Birthday you old fart!", that is how I wished myself looking at the mirror... but I don't even feel like I am a day old let alone an entire year!

April (Baisakh)

April (Baisakh)! The most eventful month in my life. There are so many important dates lined up in that month, I wonder if someday/sometimes it will end up overlapping some important dates of my life.

I was born in Baisakh, so was my sister. My parents got married in Baisakh and  my sister got engaged and married in the same month. My granny passed away the same month. And as it is Nepal, Baisakh is the first month of the year where new sessions for schools start, so most of us went to school for the first time the same month. I don't know what else Baisakh has on hold for me... I hope there are still few wonderful memories to be added to that page... and I have still a long way to go...

To end with, as Hitler was born and died in April, I don't know, but I always have a feeling that maybe it will be the same with me, but not in the circumstances that he ended up with. But then, the important thing is to have an eventful life full of memories rather having them lined up in the same month ... that's secondary thing!
